The number of jobs between 2011 and 2020 decreased by 67.2%, while the state’s growth level was positive at 12.1% and Brasil’s at 6.0%.

The following segments stand out where there was a more significant growth of jobs in the Municipality: Human health and social services, 343.8%, and Professional, scientific, and technical activities, 275.3%.

Formal Employment Balance
           

The difference between employees admitted and dismissed by companies in a given period is called formal employment balance, which may be positive or negative. We analyzed this movement since 2010 and concluded that the municipality over the last ten years had only two years of a negative balance in its job stock, 2015 and 2016. The other years were positive.
